The HR Business Consultant is responsible for working with the Sr. Business Consultant in establishing strategic business partner relationships for assigned departments and business locations (or could be the lead dependant upon size of department supporting). Provide consultation in areas such as organizational development, employee relations, leadership development, staffing, training, compensation and benefits. Will oversee Human Resource programs that support business objectives and will help develop strategic direction not only for assigned department/location, but also for enterprise wide initiatives when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned) In conjunction with Sr. Business consultant or as Lead, help to develop and support strategic human resource plan for assigned department or location tied to business objectives. Partner with key leaders to gain support. Works in conjunction with other organizational and people development departments such as Leadership Development, Staffing, Training, and Compensation in order to support and improve organizational effectiveness. Will be responsible for at least one enterprise wide project or initiative. This will be as the Lead Project Manager working with other site Business Consultants and key partners, to develop, implement, and determine effectiveness to make improvements. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Acts as either the lead or support in employee relations issues, but may delegate certain duties to Associate Business Consultant where necessary. Assists the Sr. Business Consultant or HR Director in the preparation of the Human Resource budget. Where necessary, represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Responsible for developing new or improved processes proactively for organizational effectiveness. Must adhere to HIPPA policy and procedures.

Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required; Master's in Human Resources or Organizational Development, or MBA, or equivalent work experience preferred. Demonstrated record of accomplishments in the areas of strategic thinking, project management, and HR initiatives.  Must have at least 3 years HR experience.
