Director/Senior Director – Client Marketing
The Director/Senior Director – Client Marketing partners with the VPGM (Account General Manager), Account Sales Lead and CPM (Account Operations leader) to drive growth and profitability in the business and deliver the account’s financial targets. The Marketing Account Lead will manage a team of Marketing, Strategic and Analytical resources. The Lead will also interface with the Growth teams in Client Services, Marketing Analytics, Strategy, Marketing Communications and Product Management & Development teams. This role will encompass four main areas: 1) Strategic Insights & Projects; 2) Marketing Planning & Analysis; 3) Marketing Implementation & Execution; 4) Marketing Innovation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Insights & Projects
· Maintain a deep and broad understanding of the client’s financial, strategic and Marketing imperatives, product and service roadmap, and competitive dynamics in the marketplace
· Lead or partner with VPGM on discrete strategic projects (e.g., integration, logistics, contract negotiation)
· Interface with Product Management and Development to identify and prioritize product enhancements & extensions
· Provide strategic business development leverage to the VPGM and Sales Lead
Marketing Planning & Analysis
· Lead / support the VPGM in long and short term account planning (growth and profitability, resourcing, etc)
· Advise the VPGM on account upside opportunities (product, channel, operations) and prioritize strategies and tactics to deliver on potential
· Prioritize Marketing budget and strategy, with focus on initiatives aimed at increased take rate, reduced feature churn, and new product launches
· Develop the annual and quarterly Marketing plan, encompassing messaging, collateral, training, contests, etc
· Partner with the Marketing Analytics team to deliver business and strategic analyses
Marketing Implementation & Execution
· Assist the VPGM on internal and external (HQ and field) communications, positioning and selling
· Partner with Marketing Communications to refine Asurion value prop, and communicate effectively to HQ and field
· Deliver the quarterly Marketing Program (campaigns and initiatives, collateral, training, tools, etc)
· Develop standardized approaches and share best practices (sales and marketing) across accounts, adopting and adapting as needed
· Drive external client ownership of the Value of HI (data source and approach)
· Proactively monitor KPIs by product, channel and geography
· Track impact of initiatives and correct course as needed
· Coach, develop and mentor team members to ensure the right talent is in place to meet account demands
Marketing Innovation
· Surface new Marketing ideas and tactics to drive growth, and collaborate with MarComs and Product Marketing to test value and ability to execute
· Sell-in and implement new tactics and approaches to the client account
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
· 7 or more years of Marketing and/or Strategy experience
· Demonstrated understanding of Marketing strategy and tactics
· Strategic perspective on business and operational issues
· High expectations and stringent control of the quality of analytics and Marketing output
· Ability to form strong cross-functional relationships and influence others to drive to a common goal
· Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret complex instructions, correspondence, legal documents, financial reports and/or technical documents.
· Exceptional level of skill in both oral and written communications and the ability to effectively present ideas and information
· Advanced computer skills including MS Office required.
· Strong interpersonal and verbal skills
· Exceptional people leadership skills
· Up to 20-40% domestic travel required
